This 4 km long route follows the edge of the Arrocampo reservoir.

Four birdwatching hides, optimised for children and adults, may be visited.

  • LENGTH :
This route is 4 km long.
  • ROUTE DESCRIPTION:
This route runs along dirt tracks along part of the left perimeter bank of the Arrocampo reservoir. It starts at the Information Point and Environmental Education Centre and ends at the last hide. Clearly marked, it presents no difficulties. To reach Hide 4 it is necessary to continue along a path adjacent to the road.
  • AMENITIES:
Small signposts and 4 strategically located birdwatching hides are found along its length. Each hide has different opening slats to enable viewing at optimal heights for both adults and children. Wooden benches are present in each. All are accessed via a ramp. All hides contain signs illustrating the principal species which may be observed and the route.
  • OBSERVATIONS:
Not recommended early afternoon during the period of strongest sunshine. When planning a visit, bear in mind that fog may accumulate at night over the reservoir on cold days, usually lifting a few hours after sunrise.
